Investigate 311: did the band inspire 9/11?
Should the government actually investigate 311?
The band 311’s From Chaos was released in late summer 2001, only months before the September 11th terrorist attacks. 311, the 90s band known for it’s blend of late 90s jam rock, surfer rock, stoner rock and “chill vibes” was seemingly the amongst last suspects for planning 9/11. Could a band that’s as laidback as 311 have a secret message of global destruction behind their chill vibes?
A few months before 9/11/01 311 released their album “From Chaos.” Experts have pointed to the prophetic lyrics and perniciously titled “bomb the town as a call to arms for 9/11. With all the speculative theories of 9/11 the 311 theory was widely panned until experts took a closer look at the song “bomb the town.” Especially the hook, which may have been a call to arms.
“BOMB THE TOWN” by 311
Never forget (the official 9/11 slogan that incited jingoistic fury and worsened trauma)
it will be wicked (it was wicked, the loss of innocent life was catastrophic)
get your ticket (the hijackers purchased airplane tickets)
bomb the town (the hijackers did use planes as flying bombs)
with a sound (can listen to sound on video below)
shakes the ground (the ground literally shook for miles)
everybody

Experts will undoubtedly cast this aside as rampant, perhaps idiotic speculation without a grain of solid evidence. Perhaps if you think that way you’ve never studied the Tao Te Ching and are possibly afraid of the ugly truth. What rock band would have vested interest in domestic terrorism? 311 might, the reason might be hidden within the name of the band 3 1 1.
Undoubtedly riding off the name recognition of the non emergency services line ad campaigns 311 sprung to stardom in the 90s as the king of stoner jam chill rock. Numerologists have been voicing their suspicions of the numerically titled band 3–11 since they rose to fame. The number 3 is significant, but even more so when coupled with 11. The square of 3 is 9 and both 911 and 9/11 hold significant meaning, lending yet another disturbing link lending credibility to investigate 311.
The investigate 311 meme may get even more tangled and bizarre after the most 311 day of the century 3/11/11. Serious doubt has always been cast on the 311 9/11 connection but those theories gained credibility when March 11, 2011 came along. On the day of 3/11/11 there was a terrible earthquake that struck Japan fallowed by a deadly tsunami leading to a nuclear meltdown.
Surely a coincidence right? Don’t be naive.
You may be wondering “well what does the band 311 have to do with an earthquake-tsunami-meltdown?” Look no further then the first lines of the first song “time bomb” from the 2011 album “Universal Pulse” (the pulse of an earthquake?) by 311.
“TIME BOMB” by 311
Ticking like a time bomb, where did you come from (unexpected explosion after the reactor meltdown?)
Nowhere that you can run, that is all gone (nowhere to run from the tsunami?)
Your eyes are getting salty, it’s not my fault (salty from the seawater of the tsunami?)
So what do all these coincidences mean? That the band 311 planned the world’s biggest terrorist attack? What about the 3–11 tsunami meltdown? Surely two major catastrophic events can’t be connected to chill stoner jam rock, or can it? Anything is possible.
Is the absence of evidence the evidence of absence? There isn’t enough proof to say for sure, thus requires more investigation. That’s why we need to Investigate 311.
